the package contains both static data (CML, MOL, SMI, etc) and Web stuff (HTML, CGI, JS, CSS, PNG). It would be beneficial to be able to install the static data part only, as Web stuff has "heavy" dependencies. A straightforward use case: package 'avogadro-data' bundles the static data part (~2 Mb) whereas it could simply depend on static part of 'chemical-structures'. I suggest putting all static structural data of this package into 'chemical-structures-data', leaving all the rest in 'chemical-structures', which would then depend on the 'chemical-structures-data'. I could help with reorganizing the package should this be deemed useful.
