The assert failure is in mont_mult(), which according to its own comment implements <URL: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montgomery_modular_multiplication >. If the patch mentioned by James, which seem to add testing of the suspected functions and modify their implementation quite a bit, do solve the problem, I notice a new upstream version has been released since the commit was applied in March.
Perhaps upgrading to the latest upstream version will solve the problem? Anyone working on updating the package? -- Happy hacking Petter Reinholdtsen
