predict's debian/rules chains commands with ";" in a lot of places. This covers simply "cd something; execute something else", but also longer chains involving autoconf or the like. Such practise is prohibited by Debian policy section 4.6 as it risks producing misbuilds and makes debugging build failures unnecessarily hard. Helmut
