Package: libpam-tmpdir Version: 0.05-2 Severity: important When using GDM and libpam-tmpdir, I am unable to log in.
I reported this bug to Gnome's bug tracking system, but after further investigation this seems to be a problem with libpam-tmpdir itself. The GDM bug is at <http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331892>. It is interesting to note that with the strace trick described at that URL, $TMPDIR does not get set, though $TMP is correctly set to /tmp/user/$UID. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (530, 'testing'), (520, 'unstable'), (510, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-1-k7 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages libpam-tmpdir depends on: ii libc6 2.3.5-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
