Package: manpages Version: 4.16-1 Severity: normal Tags: upstream Dear maintainers,
kill(1) correctly specifies that the signal can take the numerical value 0, but it fails to explain its effect. One has to search on kill(2) to find the info. It would be perfect if you could copy that chunk of kill(2) somewhere into kill(1) to make it more visible. Maybe as one extra example? If \fIsig\fP is 0, then no signal is sent, but existence and permission checks are still performed; this can be used to check for the existence of a process ID or process group ID that the caller is permitted to signal. Thanks in advance, Martin.
