Package: scim Version: 1.4.17-1+b1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** * What led up to the situation? This is happened occasionally when machine rebooted, My hot-key to trigger the input method may lost. I use chewing and CangJie5 ONLY and set them with hotkey "alt+shift+3" & "alt+shift+1". for many years I never change my hobit. But sometimes especially reboot the system. Hot key will take no effect. When it's gone i check the setting, hotkey setting is blank. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? I have tar ball copy of ~/.scim and ~/.chewing with my preference setting. every time hot key no active. I'll restore my own scim.conf.tgz to home directory and reactive scim by "pkill scim" then "scim -d" command. and all input method are checked but hotkey recover partially. I said partially because I also set something like press "shift" to invert ch-en mode. In that case, it will lost as well. Until I fully reboot again then the problem gone. * What was the outcome of this action? It's annoying because happened occasionally. * What outcome did you expect instead? I don't want the configuration of setting run away unexpectedly -- Package-specific info: Related packages: ii libscim8v5:amd 1.4.17-1+b1 amd64 library for SCIM platform ii scim 1.4.17-1+b1 amd64 smart common input method platfor ii scim-chewing:a 0.5.1-1 amd64 Chewing IM engine module for SCIM ii scim-gtk-immod 1.4.17-1+b1 amd64 GTK+ input method module with SCI ii scim-im-agent 1.4.17-1+b1 amd64 IM agent for SCIM platform ii scim-m17n 0.2.3-3+b1 amd64 M17N Input Method Engine for SCIM ii scim-modules-s 1.4.17-1+b1 amd64 socket modules for SCIM platform ii scim-modules-t 0.5.14-1+b2 amd64 generic tables IM engine module f ii scim-tables-ja 0.5.14-1 all Japanese input method data tables ii scim-tables-zh 0.5.14-1 all Chinese input method data tables Related environment variables: $XMODIFIERS=@im=SCIM $GTK_IM_MODULE=scim $QT_IM_MODULE=xim Installed SCIM components: -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.4 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-6-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages scim depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 2.22.0-1 ii libc6 2.24-11+deb9u3 ii libcairo-gobject2 1.14.8-1 ii libcairo2 1.14.8-1 ii libgcc1 1:6.3.0-18+deb9u1 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.36.5-2+deb9u2 ii libglib2.0-0 2.50.3-2 ii libgtk-3-0 3.22.11-1 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.40.5-1 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.40.5-1 ii libscim8v5 1.4.17-1+b1 ii libstdc++6 6.3.0-18+deb9u1 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.4-3 Versions of packages scim recommends: ii im-config [im-switch] 0.30-1 ii scim-gtk-immodule [scim-gtk-immodule] 1.4.17-1+b1 ii scim-im-agent 1.4.17-1+b1 Versions of packages scim suggests: pn scim-anthy <none> pn scim-canna <none> ii scim-chewing 0.5.1-1 pn scim-hangul <none> ii scim-m17n 0.2.3-3+b1 pn scim-pinyin <none> pn scim-prime <none> pn scim-skk <none> pn scim-tables-additional <none> ii scim-tables-ja 0.5.14-1 pn scim-tables-ko <none> ii scim-tables-zh 0.5.14-1 pn scim-thai <none> pn scim-uim <none> -- no debconf information
