I just realized that dh-octave generates incorrect versioned dependencies on octave Forge packages that have epochs. Currently the only package with an epoch is octave-econometrics, and since it has no reverse dependency, this bug has no practical consequence. But I'm still reporting it for completeness, and because this situation may change in the future (see also #893895 for a similar bug in dh-r).
