Package: gdebi-core Version: 0.9.5.7+nmu2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
In my file manager (Thunar) I double click on a .deb file. This opens the Gdebi Gui. I click on "Install package" and Gdebi quits. If I click on "Remove package" Gdebi quits. I expect it to ask for my password. In .xsession-errors I see the following: Refusing to render service to dead parents. On the other hand, if I open Gdebi from the menu and navigate to the .deb file Gdebi works as expected. -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.14.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_IE.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_IE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_IE:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages gdebi-core depends on: ii file 1:5.32-2 ii python3 3.6.4-1 ii python3-apt 1.4.0~beta3+b1 ii python3-debian 0.1.32 gdebi-core recommends no packages.
