On each call the smart-Status of my SCSI-HD is followed by many error Messages.
This is print out the Terminal and /var/log/messages:

kernel: scsi: unknown opcode 0x4d

a call like "smartctl -a /dev/sda" produce the message 20 times or more.

This Failure comes first with the Update to the Kernel "2.6.8-2-k7 #1 Mon Jan
24 03:29:52 EST 2005 i686 GNU/Linux".
With the Kernel 2.6.8.1 i had no problem.

My Sytem is a Debian Sarge with 4x SCSI 160 Harddrive on a Adaptec
AIC-7892A U160/m (rev 02) Controller.
