You are right. So my first idea is to replace british by en_US
(should be more common than en_GB) and replace ngerman by de_DE. So
hunspell and aspell work as expected. Additionally I could change the
order of the spell checkers to prefer aspell over ispell. After this
change only ispell is broken...
I thought about adding de_DE symlinks to the ngerman package (and
request them for at least the british or american dictionary), but
this doesn't fully fit the current naming conventions of ispell
dictionaries (according to dictionaries-common policy). What do you
think about this, Rene?
Another option is to use enchant, either as an replacement for all
three spell checkers or only as an replacement for ispell, since it
should do the mapping between ngerman and de_DE and the like
internally (not fully sure, whether this isn't a bug in current 1.6
Debian package, since it uses "deutsch" instead of "ngerman", while
enchant 2.1 seems to remove ispell completely).
On the other side ispell isn't worth to think too much about, since
hunspell and aspell should do a better job in the meantime...
