We want to remove botan1.10 from testing, so yes, this warrants a serious severity, and it has only three r-depends:
1. monotone is dead (last upstream release 2011), we shouldn’t keep zombies in Debian 2. ovito is leaf package and ranked very low in popcon 3. qtcreator is a leaf package[a] and ranked high in popcon So I think it’s quite appropriate to fill serious bug instantly, as it doesn’t affect half of the archive, but just two (one) package. From quickly skimming the Botan usage in qtcreator, I think it might be quite easy to use botan 2.x in QtCreator. It’s just only a matter of somebody packaging it (and afaik our conversation will reset the auto-RM timer)... ~~~ a: Checking reverse dependencies... # Broken Build-Depends: gcompris-qt: qtcreator O. -- Ondřej Surý [email protected] > On 5 Feb 2018, at 20:20, Lisandro Damián Nicanor Pérez Meyer > <[email protected]> wrote: > > The fact that botan is going to loose support doesn't makes this an instant > RC > bug.
