Way Cooler is a customizable tiling window manager written in Rust for Wayland and configurable using Lua. way-cooler intends to be a fully-compatible AwesomeWM clone[1].I am sure that many Debian users would be happy to start playing with it. It is probably not ready for prime-time yet, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to start working on dependency and get it in unstable so that Debian users can try it out. I am cc-ing the Rust team to see if there is interest in packaging it for Debian.
