Package: emacs-snapshot Version: 1:20060217-1 Severity: wishlist In sql-mode, the whole Emacs is frozen when waiting for the SQL server to process a query.
To reproduce, send a query that needs the server a long time and you'll see that the whole Emacs is completely frozen from the moment you hit RET and the moment the server delivers the result. It's really annoying when processing queries on several gigabytes of data that need 3+ minutes to complete. I'm using M-x sql-mysql with a local mysql-server-5.0.
