Followup-For: Bug #854878
Dear Maintainer,
I can confirm what the previous bug reporter said. It is definitely a
bug. You can test it like so:
$ touch binary-star
$ zgrep signal binary-star
/bin/zgrep: 75: /bin/zgrep: 1: binary-star option requires an argument
Looking at the man page for grep(1), it's clear that the
--binary-files option (and perhaps future --binary-* options) was what
the script was trying to emulate, but the programmer simply forgot the
"--" prefix.
Here is a patch that fixes the problem.
