Dear Maintainer,
When using the gedit plugin 'bracket-completion' text input will occasionally
slow down to the point that restarting the text-editor is the only way to
continue editing the text. This problem occurs when the bracket-completion
plugin is active and completable characters are entered in the editor
(backticks or parantheses for example).
The following messages can be seen repeated over and over when gedit is
launched from a terminal and the problem is triggered:
