Package: lists.debian.org Severity: wishlist Hi! After some confusion about Alioth shutdown (sorry for the delay!), it turns out we need a mailing list for the fonts team, for discussions when IRC is not enough.
This is currently done on the Alioth discussion list, although because of Alioth's spam filtering being nearly non-existant, the list hasn't seen much real traffic. For example, in October there were 35 non-spam non-bug non-ACCEPTED/REJECTED mails, but not a single one in November. As I understand, gitlab's features make bug mails to a list unnecessary and discouraged; the list would be for human traffic. Name: debian-fonts Short desc: Fonts and font-related tools in Debian Long desc: Discussion about packaging and development of fonts, font editors, and font build tools. Category: Developers Subscription Policy: open Post Policy: open Web Archive: yes It would probably be good to import the existing archives, although doing so without manually weeding out the spam first is unthinkable. I can do this work myself, although for obvious reason I'm not expending the effort before such an import is okayed. The other two lists, pkg-fonts-bugs and pkg-fonts-commits, are redundant with gitlab features, and thus shouldn't be migrated.
