I'm not too sure. Can you try running some commands from
gstreamer1.0-tools as a test.

Eg does this work (should print lots of info):
 gst-inspect-1.0 fakesink

The failure was caused by gstreamer.

I was able to solve removing the ~/.cache/gstreamer-1.0/registry.x86_64.bin
