Package: gnome-terminal Version: 3.26.2-1 Severity: normal If I chose the default "GNOME" option in GDM the system uses Wayland. In this instance resizing a gnome-terminal window does not bring up the tooltip that shows the new size, which makes it difficult to resize to a particular rows/columns combination. Switching back to GNOME on X11 fixes things.
I suspect this is something down the line from GNOME Terminal, but I'm not familiar enough with the stack to assign more intelligently. -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (800, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.13.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages gnome-terminal depends on: ii dbus-user-session [default-dbus-session-bus] 1.12.0-1 ii dbus-x11 [dbus-session-bus] 1.12.0-1 ii dconf-gsettings-backend [gsettings-backend] 0.26.1-1 ii gnome-terminal-data 3.26.2-1 ii gsettings-desktop-schemas 3.24.1-1 ii libatk1.0-0 2.26.0-2 ii libc6 2.24-17 ii libdconf1 0.26.1-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.54.1-1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.22.24-3 ii libnautilus-extension1a 3.26.0-1 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.40.12-1 ii libuuid1 2.30.2-0.1 ii libvte-2.91-0 0.50.1-1 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.4-3 Versions of packages gnome-terminal recommends: ii gvfs 1.34.1-1 ii yelp 3.26.0-1 gnome-terminal suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
