Version 1.4.x of LedgerSMB did stop receiving critical updates in September and therefore the package in Debian does need to updated to the 1.5.x series.
Correction: Version 1.5.0 for the LedgerSMB application was released on 23 December 2016, not 2017. And the most recent version of the 1.5.x series is currently version 1.5.13, which is what is currently being used as the basis for updating the package. -- Robert J.
