Package: gnome-terminal Version: 3.26.0-1 Severity: normal This seems related to #718397, but not exactly the same.
Running gnome-terminal on a new user account I cannot make it remember the fact that I unchecked the "Show Menu bar" option. When I close my current terminal window and open a new one, the menu bar is there again. When I check gsettings, it is always set to true. $ gsettings get org.gnome.Terminal.Legacy.Settings default-show-menubar true Setting it manually to false is a workaround, but there is something broken in the UI that prevents it from saving the setting properly. -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers unstable-debug APT policy: (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'testing-debug'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental-debug'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.12.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=pt_BR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=pt_BR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=pt_BR:pt:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages gnome-terminal depends on: ii dbus-user-session [default-dbus-session-bus] 1.11.16+really1.10.22-1 ii dbus-x11 [dbus-session-bus] 1.11.16+really1.10.22-1 ii dconf-gsettings-backend [gsettings-backend] 0.26.0-2+b1 ii gnome-terminal-data 3.26.0-1 ii gsettings-desktop-schemas 3.24.1-1 ii libatk1.0-0 2.26.0-2 ii libc6 2.24-17 ii libdconf1 0.26.0-2+b1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.54.0-1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.22.21-1 ii libnautilus-extension1a 3.26.0-1 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.40.12-1 ii libuuid1 2.29.2-5 ii libvte-2.91-0 0.50.0-1 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.4-3 Versions of packages gnome-terminal recommends: ii gvfs 1.30.4-1+b1 ii yelp 3.22.0-1 gnome-terminal suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
