I checked /var/log/installer/lsb_release and it says DISTRIB_ID=Debian DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Debian GNU/Linux installer" DISTRIB_RELEASE="9 (stretch) - installer build 20170313-00:01" X_INSTALLATION_MEDIUM=cdrom So, the image was not created with the final stretch ISO. I can confirm that it contains those said symlinks and that after the dist-upgrade the symlinks have been removed. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
