Package: auctex
Version: 11.90-1
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
I was trying to build a fairly big debian live system using live-build
and got a problem which is very much like the one reported in bug
#645240, except that the source of the problem is auctex and not dwww:
* live-build fails at stage 'chroot_devpts remove' complaining that
unmounting /dev/pts is impossible because the target is busy.
* pausing the process before this stage with the '--interactive true'
option reveals that the process "/bin/bash /usr/sbin/update-auctex-elisp
--daemon emacs25" keeps running for a while in the background
* if I wait until this process terminates, I can continue
successfully the build of the live system.
Since the reply to the above-cited report claims (cf.
https://lists.debian.org/debian-live/2011/10/msg00068.html) that this
kind of problem is not an issue regarding live-build, but rather a bad
behavior of the postinst script of the package running the process in
the background, I am reporting it as a bug of auctex.
However, there might be a subtle difference between this new problem and
the one I am citing, so this might indeed be an issue regarding the
live-build package.
Thank you very much for all the nice job you do.
