In order to test the fix for #771784 I tried to backport the current Sid version of libssh to Stretch. The libraries built correctly but one of the tests failed, preventing the package build to complete. Using a backport of the current Sid version of libgcrypt fixed the problem. After that, I tested this with other versions between the one from Stretch and the one from Sid (downloaded from snapshot.debian.org) and it appears that the minimum libgcrypt version that allows the test to succeed is 1.7.8. To avoid headaches to fellow maintainers who would ever need to backport libssh, please update Build-Depends accordingly. Regards, -- Raphaël Halimi
