Testing with the current (unstable and CVS) versions of sbuild, I can successfully build the current unstable versions of zsh and zsh-beta.
Frederik, please could you confirm this works for you?
I did a fairly large sync with upstream with sbuild 0.37, and it's
likely this fixed it.
