Package: firefox
Version: 1.5.dfsg+1.5.0.1-1
Severity: wishlist

If I run FF locally and start an instance over SSH on a remote
machine, all I get is a new window on the local instance. This is
surely not expected behaviour.

I have been told it's possible to tweak this (PING_something
variable), but have not been able to find out how. I would like to
request it to be the default for FF to keep instances apart. Sure,
if the user requests this "smart instance management", all the
better that FF comes with it, but on a Unix system, the standard is
for a remote instance to open itself, not find a local instance
first.

Thanks for your consideration.
