The dcument types are correct in the current version. Great! Thank you! I wonder why the xml declaration <?xml ... ?> is omitted with option 'frames' in the frameset document and in xhtml+mathml documents but not in pure xhtml documents. I think the declaration should be present unless the user asks not to. To be more precise, with the same input file as before: mk4ht xhlatex test.tex "xhtml,frames" produces a test.html without xml declaration and two other files with a declaration. Replacing xhlatex with xhmlatex or mozilla produces three output documents, none of which has an xml declaration. If I use the same command lines but without "xhtml,frames" then there is only one output file with an xml declaration. Sorry that I am continuously asking questions.
