I've been trying to reproduce these issues, in order to test the results of isolating and backporting the ITS patches, but no luck so far. However I did discover and report ITS#8696 while working on this, so that's something...
I hate to ask for more of your time when you've clearly put a lot into this already; but if you're able to help out at all with reducing the test cases for any of these (for example eliminating gssapi from the mix), that could help save us some time.
I'm also hoping that your test environment is persistent enough, or straightforward enough to set up, that you might be able to help with testing if I propose a package for a stable update?
