I just upgraded my clamav packages from a version which still used
clamav.conf, but I don't know what the exact version was. I managed my
own clamav.conf, so per the docs I ran "dpkg-reconfigure clamav-daemon"
to make sure it was set not to use debconf. This did nothing, so I saw
this should be clamav-base now instead.
I ran "dpkg-reconfigure clamav-base" and told it not to use debconf.
It immediately failed like this:
Error: The new file /usr/share/doc/clamav-base/examples/clamd.conf
does not exist!
I believe it's failing in the postinst here:
ucf_upgrade_check "$CLAMAVCONF"
/usr/share/doc/clamav-base/examples/clamd.conf
/var/lib/ucf/cache/:etc:clamav:clamd.conf
/usr/share/doc/clamav-base/examples/clamd.conf is actually compressed.
If I uncompress it then the reconfigure completes without error.
