* What led up to the situation? calibre fails to start if autolaunch_server = True in ~/.config/calibre/gui.py * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? Disabled server autolaunch, which allowed calibre to start. After reading bug report referenced here, installed python-msgpack. * What was the outcome of this action?
