Package: kdump-tools Version: 1:1.6.1-1 kdump-tools currently depends on makedumpfile, but it does not appear to be strictly needed. If makedumpfile is not present, kdump-tools will fallback to copying the full image. This is useful, e.g. if you're running a kernel that makedumpfile does not understand, or you just want the full vmcore for some reason.
