Thanks for the bug report and patch. I have applied it in VCS. However, before uploading a new release, I'd like to verify that I've fixed the problem. I set up a cowbuilder environment, following the reproducible builds instructions [0]. However, I found that the existing package passes rebuild.sh. What did you run to identifiy the problem? Thanks.
