I am not sure about that. We still live in the strange dichotomy where we consider that MySQL server might get installed from different repository (or unstable) and the original "mytop" is meant to be used with MySQL server (from Oracle).
Maybe there should be some clear naming split in the future (like what happened with libmariadb C library), but that would be a buster material, because that would need: 1) walk through all the commands and replace all "my" and "mysql" with "maria" 2) make a compatibility package on top of that that would decide what command to use based on the default "MySQL" provider in the system Definitely lot of careful work.
