Discovered banshee would crash when importing any media last month

Disabled all plugins (bpm detection turned off), rescanned library, deleted
~/.config/banshee-1/, downgraded to previous version of this package (2.6.2-6),
tried older versions of libsqlite3-0, tried importing different files such as
mp3 and flac

Crashes every time, see output:

(a) I am reproducing: Banshee 2.6.2 under Debian stretch.
(b) On selecting Media -> Import Media -> Choose Folders -> Import,
Banshee crashes, regardless of which folders or files are selected, with
a trace as above.
(c) Import from CD works with no problems.
(d) Tools -> Rescan Music Library works with no problems to make Banshee
aware of music files that result in a crash when I attempt to import
them via the Import Media workflow.
