It seems to be an issue with your flac file. What tells $ file $YOUR_FLAC_FILE > MPD seems to be affected as well (it can't play FLAC but can play > vorbis), but doesn't seem to give any error message. Hmmm, what tells $ flac -t $YOUR_FLAC_FILE (flac package must be installed) Is it possible to provide a small flac file which doesn't play on your system? If it is less than 5MB please by PM.
