Package: spice-vdagent

I did a fresh jessie install in a libvirt/KVM environment and then I
installed spice-vdagent with:
apt-get install spice-vdagent
After installing, I rebooted
The desktop resize doesn't appear to be working.
I am connecting to the guest using virt-manager on stretch
I see the spice-vdagent processes running in the guest.
Should I use a different client?
Are any additional steps required to configure Xorg or spice-vdagent in
a jessie system?
