Michael, Would you be willing to move the udev rules into the main 'steam' package instead of the separate 'steam-devices' package?
I believe Valve really likes the idea of having an easy single .deb on their homepage for people to install, but I don't think that's compatible with the package split like this. I'd really like to fix this problem before Ubuntu 17.04 is released (just over 3 weeks away). I am already working with Valve on this issue. Please respond so that your input is included.
