Package: openbox
Version: 3.6.1-4
Severity: normal
My notebook has an external monitor attached:
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 3045 x 1050, maximum 16384 x 16384
LVDS connected 1366x768+1679+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
344mm x 193mm
HDMI-0 connected primary 1680x1050+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y
axis) 474mm x 296mm
My desktop size is therefore
0 - DG: 3045x1050 VP: 0,0 WA: 0,0 3045x1018 Desktop 1
and the settings are
Name: Openbox
Class:
PID: N/A
Window manager's "showing the desktop" mode: OFF
I've got an LXQT panel on the bottom and a full-screen xterm running
without a title bar:
0x01600007 -1 0 1018 1680 32 N/A LXQt Panel
0x03c00018 3 0 2 1680 1017 cacao cacao:X.4.0 shell
But on the second display (LVDS) I can see the right border of the xterm
window, and accidentally clicking in the upper left corner of this screen
even activates the "close" button of xterm and therefore kills it.
(Good that I'm using tmux locally too ;)
IMO a maximized window shouldn't spill over to any other screen, it
shouldn't even have any visible border.
(That said, the 1-pixel high area at the top for switching
desktop/maximized/etc. is neat, though.)
