I assume you made a backup from the before the dist-upgrade, right :-) Please provide the /var/lib/dpkg/info/status file. Maybe there is a chance that we can reproduce the issue this way. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
