Package: librtlsdr0 Version: 0.5.3-11 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
I believe the current librtlsdr packages are based on the original OsMoCom repository which appears to be effectively unmaintained. Many people clubbed together to form a librtlsdr organisation on GitHub and have forked the repository and maintained it. They have now release version 0.7 (compared to the 0.5.3 in Debian). https://github.com/librtlsdr/librtlsdr This is not the same resolution as proposed in "#842249 rtl-sdr: consider swapping upstream from osmocom to rtlsdrblog" even though the problem is the same. The repository mentioned there isn't really an official one, the one I mention above appears to be the new official repository. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages librtlsdr0 depends on: ii libc6 2.24-9 ii libusb-1.0-0 2:1.0.21-1 librtlsdr0 recommends no packages. librtlsdr0 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
