Hello Sandro, I noticed you uploaded numpy 1.12 recently. Could you consider backporting this patch to that, and uploading a new version?
This patch is the last patch that fixes a good number of failures in Sage's testsuite. If it were applied it would bring the number of failures down from ~50 to ~25. It would be a shame if we missed the opportunity to do this for Debian stable. It is already applied in master: https://github.com/numpy/numpy/blob/master/numpy/core/function_base.py But not 1.12: https://github.com/numpy/numpy/blob/maintenance/1.12.x/numpy/core/function_base.py This is the relevant patch, with tests, that was accepted by upstream: https://github.com/numpy/numpy/commit/9aff656065f2749b83abf127472cafc28e235222 Thanks!
