Hi there. I debug this problem a bit and found more information about
that. Those crashes doesn't appears by default, and depends of icons
selected in gnome.
How I reproduce this behavior:
I'm using Gnome/testing.
Run gnome-theme-manager
Then push "Theme details"->"Icons" then select "Sandy" (from gnome-themes
package).
After that firefox will crash on any file selection dialog (e.g. "Save as")
with the following strace

As workaround for those who also have this bug:
select another icons (Default "GNOME" works for me) in gnome-theme-manager
