Yep, https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=817172 is the 'same' bug but then for irssi-plugin-otr. The commit that fixed it for irssi-plugin-xmpp is: https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/collab-maint/irssi-plugin-xmpp.git/commit/? id=542ef1528821ffc0b048b38bb431918fcf02203f and that commit indicates that my patch is incorrect though. I was doubting between the *.install file and debian/rules and it looks like I picked the wrong one ;-) Lots to learn still so I'll leave it up to you to fix it properly. TIA, Diederik
