It appears that libxft-dev no longer ships the file /usr/lib/libXft.la. However, I could not find any documentation about this, except a changelog entry from an ubuntu version with no explanation at all. Since it also appears that kdebluetooth builds fine on ubuntu it seems they changed some more things related to the removal of /usr/lib/libXft.la. With no change needed to kdebluetooth it seems to me that the problem lies elsewhere and thus I'm reassigning this bug to libxft-dev.
