Correct. Only in Icinga 1.x & Icinga 2.x remain. There is no effort to
package Nagios 4.x yet.

You should included icinga2 in the alternatives if collectd is
compatible, and prefer icinga over icinga2 since icinga2 is unlikely to
be included in stretch due to unfixed RC bugs.
People should not be using Nagios 2/3.x any more, and switch to the
packaged Icinga 1.x which uses the same configuration format as Nagios
3.x. Or upgrade to Icinga 2.x which is a major change.
I've not included icinga2 in the alternatives, because I'm not sure if
collectd is compatible.
