Package: kmod
Version: 23-1
Severity: normal
In this build log:
https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=linux&arch=arm64&ver=4.9~rc7-1~exp1&stamp=1480766537
the initial error messages are:
depmod: ERROR: Found 8 modules in dependency cycles!
depmod: ERROR: Cycle detected: remoteproc -> virtio
depmod: ERROR: Cycle detected: remoteproc -> virtio_ring
depmod: ERROR: Cycle detected: qcom_mdt_loader -> remoteproc
*** Error in `depmod': free(): invalid next size (fast): 0x00000055bf918060
***
I assume that the dependency cycle is real and this needs to be
fixed in the kernel, but depmod shouldn't crash while reporting
this.
Ben.
