I just want to annotate that -a is not a BSD Mail option, but
seems to be a Debian-specific extension.

S-nail v14.9.0 will offer the possibility to add custom headers
via the `customhdr' command (and the *customhdr* variable).
(I am the maintainer of S-nail.)
