Package: amavisd-new Version: 1:2.3.3-2 Severity: normal if /etc/amavis/amavisd.conf.disabled exists, /etc/init.d/amavis start will report:
Starting amavisd: Found old config file /etc/amavis/amavisd.conf, amavisd-new will NOT be started for safety reasons. Please update the amavisd-new configuration, as the old configuration is not automatically converted. Remove the /etc/amavis/amavisd.conf to re-enable amavisd-new. This is misleading because it is not the existence of amavisd.conf that causes the error, but is instead the existence of /etc/amavis/amavisd.conf.disabled Having an /etc/amavis/amavisd.conf file alone will not prevent the script from running. If someone were to rename /etc/amavis/amavisd.conf.disabled back to /etc/amavis/amavisd.conf, the script will run. This is a problem because now someone could start amavisd-new with the command 'amavisd-new start' and /etc/amavis/amavisd.conf will be used instead of the /conf.d config files which would lead to having two different amavisd-new configurations.
