fcheck rebuild it's database during upgrade. this quite 'annoying' when upgrade-ing a bunch of systems, because i have to sit and wait, till it's done. while the rebuild could be done in the background. which makes upgrade much shorter. Other problem is that for example if daemon X is upgraded too, it shuts down daemon X , rebuilds fchecks database, and starts daemon X again. I think that's unwanted behavour. - -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.8.1 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages fcheck depends on: ii bsdutils 1:2.12-10 Basic utilities from 4.4BSD-Lite ii file 4.12-1 Determines file type using "magic" - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFCEcvY3twlWS9jQkURAvQkAJsElErBCHuFh+lt5WxdYGJhTXghvwCeOqVm khDaWgNN0BUclnES0fV1lMo= =4BFI -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- Robbert Muller | Never let a luser on your console. spam(dot)me(at)grols(dot)ch | Because that means they're in your room. uin: 9659330 | PGP-key 0x2F634245
