There is a test file[1] in one of the merged bugs. However, testing the latest kodi in unstable is of limited use, since it was built against the same ffmpeg version currently in unstable. If you want to verify that the problem is fixed, you'd have to recompile kodi against 3.0.1 and test it with the current ffmpeg libraries (or the ones from 3.1.1).
