This can be done with dkms since 2.2.0.3-5 [1][2][3]. > To be more true, I even dislike dkms for doing stuff automatic that I > want to have manual control over. > > So, would it be able to apply the update to tp-smapi-source too please. To be honest, I removed tp-smapi-source from Debian, because when I wanted to touch it, I did not undestand what I was doing 5 years ago. If you really want tp-smapi-source back and the dkms version is not enough for your needs, I would ask you to review the diff [4] and see if there is a way to add it back without adding 200 lines of code. I will happily move tp-smapi to collab-maint and invite you then :) Regards Evgeni [1] https://tracker.debian.org/news/781241 [2] https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=554843 [3] https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=830670 [4] https://anonscm.debian.org/git/users/evgeni/tp-smapi.git/diff/debian?id=d491a8806ea4ac0b69b3087ee1f745bd9c8a1224&id2=4bc3a3d139608cf2f54a048b4a34de9532d8a601
